Since its foundation had been I'adesione a forty enthusiastic friends, largely still active members of the Association and thereafter many young people from the most recent enrollment. The vast majority of members received the diploma of a sommelier in courses from A. I.S. or directly with courses offered in of the same. Members meet regularly on the last tuesday of each month at the premises of the restaurant 'at Gianni and Dorina "to taste the wines in the competition, selected by a proposed or commissions from qualified firms wineries. The tasting of wines selected and the subsequent vote of merit, are always preceded by presentations made by producers or the wine business and then followed by a discussion in which both members who distinguished guests experts in the field. Members voted secretly wines tasted and compile an evaluation on examination taste the same. Are evaluated and voted on three wines: white, red and dessert wine or meditation. At the end of the tasting awards winning wines to be delivered during a celebration that takes place the headquarters of the Regional of Liguria and Lunigiana Castelnuovo Magra (Sp). The Academy, during the year, organizes visits to the cellars of qualified firms and participates in various industry events taking place both in Italy and abroad. Uelenco producers awarded over twenty years Activity of the Academy, is the practical demonstration of our seriousness of view, with the recognition of the great names of wine national and viable emerging companies.
